Method
This Rose was made using 100% Syrah from Northridge Vineyard (Wahluke Slope). The fruit was hand-picked, hand-sorted, and crushed into small bins. After a 36 hour maceration at 55 degrees, the free-run juice, also known as "cuvee," was removed from the bins and racked to a stainless steel tank. The skins were then loaded into the press and the pressed juice was blended with the cuvee already in tank. This method of Rose production is called the "Maceration Method." The resulting wine was wild-fermented (native yeast) at approximately 60 degrees for 18 days and aged 5 months in stainless steel.
