2013 'Ginger Man' Syrah
100% Syrah
Walla Walla Valley
Tasting Notes
A spicy bouquet of white pepper, allspice, and cinnamon accompanied by smoky cedar, lavender, blackberry, and plum. Intense flavors of black fruits and cabinet spice lead to a rich mouth-feel with smooth tannins and flavors of plum, orange peel, mint, and cured meats on the finish.

Method
This rich and textured Syrah was whole-berry fermented with approximately 15 percent whole-clusters in small bins, allowing for a slower ferment, longer extraction, and an extra dose of tannins from the stems. Blended with a splash of Horse Heaven Hills Syrah, the Ginger Man was bottled without fining or filtration to preserve flavor and aromatic integrity.
