ON THE NOSE 

Our fourth vintage of Quinn has layers of intense aromas and flavors. Black cherry, plum, dried strawberries, pipe tobacco, cinnamon and cola; followed by hints of spice cabinet, white pepper and BBQ. 

ON THE PALATE 

Flavors of dried cranberries, bright cherry and hints of dark strawberry on the palate. Grippy tannins lean into a lingering finish of fig and plum.

METHOD 

Our first Malbec-dominant red blend was made using the best Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels hand-selected by our winemaker.  The Malbec portion of this wine come from Numeral Mountain Vineyard in Entiat, accounting for 50% of the blend, nearly making this a vineyard-designated wine.  The vines from this site are grown in shallow granite residuum soils along with traces of loess and volcanic ash at an elevation of 1200 feet.  

Fermentation style: Whole berry

Fermentation size: 1 ton max 

Fermentation rate: 10-14 days

Aging: 18 months 

Oak:  A blend of 60% new American and French oak 

Fining/Filtration: None
