94% Syrah, 6% Grenache
Walla Walla Valley
Bottled March 27, 2018
Released June 16th, 2018
ON THE NOSE
Black plum, blackberry, dried cranberries and licorice with notes of cabinet spice and toasted hazelnuts.
ON THE PALATE
Concentrated flavors of blackberries and black cherry lead the way with nicely integrated tannins and a rich mouthfeel. The finish is long and spicy with lingering flavors of cinnamon, clove, ginger and orange peel.
This handcrafted Syrah was whole-berry fermented in small bins for approximately 12 days, followed by 10 days of extended maceration to optimize phenolic and flavor extraction. After 18 months of barrel aging, we blended our Syrah with a small amount of Grenache to add richness and spice.
