Numeral Mountain Vineyard
Released March 24, 2019
ON THE NOSE
Layers of complex aromas and flavors - the concentrated black fruit melds with rich flavors of coffee, leather and vanilla spice. Hints of cigar box, cinnamon and cured meats.
ON THE PALATE
The palate is full and intense, offering lengthy tannin and a spicy mouth-watering finish.
Our first reserve wine was made using hand-picked and hand-sorted fruit from Numeral Mountain Vineyard, a beautiful site in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains that overlooks the majestic Columbia River in Entiat. We destemmed the berries into small bins for a 3 day cold soak, followed by 12 days of primary fermentation. The wine was sent to a combination of French and American oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 18 months of aging. We bottle aged for 1 year before releasing to our Reserve Wine Club.
